Welcome to the PASS Portal!
The Pioneer Academic Support Services (PASS) Portal is your central hub to schedule graduate and undergraduate tutoring and writing support appointments and to find Classroom Learning Assistant (CLA) schedules, Learning Lab schedules, and drop-in tutoring hours.
Getting Started: Log in using your SHU email and password. After logging in, select from one of the academic support schedules described below using the "Schedules" dropdown menu at the top of the schedule. Please note each option may include the current semester (e.g. Spring 2024) as part of the schedule name.
- Tutors & Writing Support - Use this schedule to book 1:1 or small group appointments with tutors. You can also view and confirm drop-in hours at various locations throughout this campus using this schedule. Important note: DO NOT UPLOAD PAPERS FOR THE ONLINE WRITING LAB (OWL) TO THIS SCHEDULE!
- Same Day Help - Use this schedule to view drop-in hours only.
- Online Writing Lab – You may upload your papers and assignments here to receive written feedback from a professional writing tutor within 3-4 days.
- CLA Schedule – If your course has a Classroom Learning Assistant (CLA), use this schedule to sign up for your CLA session.
- Learning Labs – If your course has an associated Learning Lab, use this schedule to view its day, time, and location, as well as the name of the Learning Lab leader.
- Writing Workshops - Use this schedule to register for upcoming writing workshops.
PLEASE NOTE: All students must read and acknowledge the Tutee Code of Conduct when creating appointments on the PASS Portal. The Tutee Code of Conduct is linked at the top of each schedule.
